ATM TIPS.

PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW)

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.

For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine.The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber,the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.

This information was recently broad casted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists.

Orkut.

The Story....
A guy lost his girlfriend in a train accident....
but the gal's name nowhere appeared in the dead list. This guy
grew up n became IT technical architect in his late 20?s, achievement in itself!!. He hired developers from the whole globe and plan to make a
software where he could search for his gf through the web..
Things went as planned...
n he found her, after losing millions of dollars and 3 long years!!

It was time to shut down the search operation, when the CEO of Google had a
word with this guy n took over this application,

This Software made a whopping 1 billion dollars profit in its first year,
which we today know as ORKUT .
The guy's name is ORKUT BUYUKKOTEN . Yes its named after him only. Today he
is paid a hefty sum by Google for the things we do like scrapping. He is
expected to b the richest person by 2009. ORKUT BUYUKKOTEN today has 13 assistants to monitor his scrapbook & 8 to
monitor his friends-list. He gets around 20,000 friend-requests a day &

about 85,000 scraps!!!

Some other Cool Facts about this guy:
* He gets $12 from Google when every person registers to this website.
* He also gets $10 when you add somebody as a friend.
* He gets $8 when your friend's friend adds you as a friend & gets $6 if
anybody adds you as friend in the resulting chain. * He gets $5 when you scrap somebody & $4 when somebody scraps you.
* He also gets $200 for each photograph you upload on Orkut.

Mitashi.

Mitashi is a Chinese white goods brand which appeals to people for its pricing point strategy.its very affordable and the users claim it to be a reasonably reliable brand which delivers value for money.I noticed its TVC recently which uses cartoon sketch animation with kishore da funny soundtrack.The result is good it made me laugh and my ad meter approved it.Btw My ad meter is my two and half yr old kid who responds to very few ads.If you notice the ad do write back.From my side thumbs up to the creative.

MOTOFLIP.

One ad i liked in last few days is also the one which made me buy the product.The MOTOROLA FLIP.The ad starts with a typical middle class family on breakfast table,Worried mom and Pitaji.Mother broaches the topic by asking "Beta are you doing something which you should not do".The poor son is aghast and afraid, with excellent comic timing the biscuit dipped in tea breaks and falls,then the father moves out a hand and says we found this in your room last night,Its the MOTOFLIP.The ad ends there without giving any lame excuses and according to me that's the clincher a message well delivered in crisp and fresh manner.Well Done.

Boro plus.

How do you waste a top celebrity by giving him below average ad and making a mockery of Brand?Best example is Boro plus and the tortured celebrity is Big B Amitabh Bachchan.
Mr bachchan looks pitiful and irritating giving commands to family members as a pundit doing pooja,he mocks at one and all trying to tell the benefits of the brand.
Why will any creative do such a pathetic job...think...

Happydent white.

Hi
I was mesmerised, stunned, left speechless, with the audio visual splendour wanted to see it time and again.I am sure you all felt the same way when i first saw the tvc of happydent white(Tera man roshan).The old world charm the Sufiyana tune and a finish to die for.This ad has all,out of the box thinking,an brilliant idea with brilliant execution.
Now comes the painful part....I consider my self to be an evolved viewer as i have some taste and class? I could not recall the Brand name unless some one asked me about the ad.
I talked to one of my Friend who does distribution for Perfetti about the impact and he said its lukewarm.Whats happening a good product, a good company, a wonderful ad ,but the sales graph not so exciting whats the problem?Think and reply....

Indian Thinking.

Hi.
I have been thinking about starting a new blog from quite some time,the idea"s preoccupying my mind were as diverse as Food,Life style,Mythology,Technology,Friends blah blah..
Finally after much deliberation i have zeroed on one topic which is a long standing one.
Whats the Indian mind like?
How it thinks?
How it responds to a stimuli?
I call it the Indian way of thinking.
The long standing quest of the big multinationals and the home grown companies has been alike to find out the Indian mind thinking process.How it responds to there Brand proposition and Brand Idea.Some times some innocuous looking company goes on to become a big hit and some times a big multinationals big initiative with market insights and survey comes apart with a thud.
Here i will try to decipher the Ads according to me and also the impact it had on me,i shall discuss the brand the commercials, Print as well as audio visuals.I call it the Indian thinking.Welcome.
